Dr Divya Jyothi

Dr Divya Jyothi Phd Scholar( Ayu), MA (Sanskrit). Director and Chief Scientific Advisor, Centre for Manuscript Research, Aapyam Institute of Indigenous sciences and Research, Bengaluru. <span>Dr Divya Jyothi hails from Mangalore, Karnataka. She has finished her BAMS course from Karnataka Ayurvedic Medical College, Mangalore in the year 2009. She has got MA in sanskrit from Mysore University. She has completed her internship under the guidance of Dr Sambamurthy and Dr Savitri who are the members of Ayurveda academy Bengaluru. This created a keen interest in learning the concepts and classics deeper. Subsequently she has worked as consultant at her own clinic Amrita Ayurvedalaya, Suratkal. On joining MD at SDM College and Hospital, Hassan she was lucky enough to be in contact with Dr Sriharsha, Dr Mallika KJ and Dr S M Vaidya who laid the foundation of Manuscriptology in her and which made her to select the topic from Manuscriptology itself for the dissertation named “ Critical edition of Krishnapandita commentary on Lolimbaraja’s Vaidyajivana”. She has worked as organizing secretary for the first state level workshop on Manuscriptology in an ayurvedic college named “Kritikoutuka”, success of which encouraged the department to organize four days long National workshop on Manuscriptology named “Kritisampada”. She was also in the team of consultants who visited Golden Temple Vellore for inspection and <span>&nbsp;manuscript conservation project-hands on training. She has attended 21 days of basic level workshop on Manuscriptology at Jamnagar organized by Gujarat Ayurved University and NMM. At present she is a regular PhD Scholar at IPGT and RA, Jamnagar, working on “Critical edition of Pandulipi of Kashypa Samhita.”</span></span>

ACHIEVEMENTS 1. Woked as a Joint Secretary at the National Workshop on Strides in Edition of Ayurveda    Manuscripts KRITI SAMPADA held from 7th to 10th April 2015. 2. As a Resource Person in the Manuscript Collection Inspection at Sripuram Sri Narayani Peedam, Thirumalaikodi, Vellore, Tamilnadu on 18/11/2014, 19/11/2014. 3. As a Resource Person in Manuscript Conservation Project – Hands on Training held at Sripuram Sri Narayani Peedam, Thirumalaikodi, Vellore, Tamilnadu on 8/12/14 and 9/12/14. 4.Won 2nd Prize in Ayurquiz - Inter Ayurveda College Quiz Competition in association with Atrimed Pharma conducted on 30th March 2013 at JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Mysore. 5. Participated in Shloka Recitation competition  conducted in  National Seminar AMRITA PRAJNANAM held on 27th and 28th  February 2014, conducted by Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri, Kerala. 6. Able to interpret Ayrveda treatise. 7. Worked as a member of organizing committee in capacity building training programme on Pharmacovigillence held on 2nd -4th March 2017, organized by IPGT & RA. 9. As a Resource person in a national workshop on “MANI, MANTRA AND AUSHADHA” jointly organized by Sri Jayendra Saraswati Ayurveda College and Hospital and Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Vidya Parishat, Ujjain from 24th -26th October 2018 and presented a paper entitled “Daivavyapashraya Chikitsa”. 10. Won “Innovative Young Researcher in Ayurvedic Manuscriptology” award from the International Innovation and betterment excellence in Technical Research, an initiative of  Rula innovation and Betterment excellence Award on 12th November 2018.
