Kriyapada (verb) denotes any action (work). The root of Kriyapada is known as Dhatu. The suffix joining to Dhatu is called as Akhyata. There are two types of Dhatu-Siddha and Sadhita. There are around 2200 Dhatu. They are classified into ten Ganas. Dhatu are getting different Rupa in different Kala called as Lakara which are ten in number. According to Vacya prayoga, there are three types of Dhatu- Atmanepada, Parasmaipada and Ubhayapada.
