There are two types of srotas. Antarmukha srotas and Bahirmukha srotas. Later includes all external orifices such as nasa, karna. Total number is nine. Antarmukha srotas are internal channels. As per Charaka samhita, they are 13, while Sushruta accepts 11 pairs of srotas. Atipravrutti, Sanga, Vimarga gamanaand Sira granthi are four types of vitiation affecting srotas, and lead to diseases.
