The word pratyaksha indicates, that which is observed directly throgh eyes. Here, eyes are representing all sense organs. This is most reliable among all pramanas, and all other pramanas are developed, basing on pratyaksha. Pratyaksha can be of two types- savikalpa (with details) and nirvikalpa (without details). The former is further divided in to loukika, aloukika etc based on the nature of observation.
